Carbon Buyers Happy Hour: Get to Know High-Impact Buyer Alliances

Date: Monday 22nd September | 5:00 -7:00 PM

Kick off Climate Week NYC with informal conversations with the teams behind the Advanced Market Coalitions; LEAF, Symbiosis and Kinetic. In collaboration with governments, philanthropies, and civil society, these non-profit-led efforts are driving demand for a new class of high-integrity carbon credits—from nature-based reductions and jurisdictional programs to engineered and energy-based removals. Company representatives already participating will be on hand for an informal “ask us anything” discussion, followed by open socializing with peers interested in shaping the next wave of high-integrity carbon credits and climate action.

Whether you’re curious about joining a coalition, exploring new market opportunities, or just want to connect with like-minded peers, this event is the perfect way to dive in.

Highlights:

  • Quick coalition introductions and impact snapshots

  • Informal “Ask Me Anything” conversations with coalition reps and member companies

  • Networking with buyers and sustainability leaders

  • Drinks, light bites, and a collaborative atmosphere

The Role of Philanthropy in Protecting Forests and Nature

Date: Thursday 25th September | 8:00 -10:00 AM
Location: 200 Park Avenue, 38th Floor, New York, NY 10166

Tropical forests are one of our most powerful climate solutions, capable of delivering up to 30% of the emissions reductions needed by 2030 - while sustaining biodiversity and supporting millions of people. Yet they receive less than 3% of global climate finance.

Philanthropy can play a catalytic role, unlocking early action, advancing equity, and building the systems needed for lasting impact.

This closed-door roundtable will explore how philanthropic and early-stage finance can accelerate emissions reductions and sustainable development in forest regions. Drawing on proven models such as Jurisdictional REDD+/LEAF, Symbiosis, and the Tropical Forests Forever Fund (TFFF), this session will explore how these mechanisms are channeling resources to forest governments and communities to accelerate high-integrity forest protection.

With COP30 on the horizon, we will discuss how philanthropy can play a catalytic role in delivering large-scale impact for climate, nature, and people.

Attendance to this event is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending this event, please contact samantha@emergentclimate.com.
