Carbon Buyers Happy Hour: Get to Know High-Impact Buyer Alliances
Date: Monday 22nd September | 5:00 -7:00 PM

The Role of Philanthropy in Protecting Forests and Nature
Date: Thursday 25th September | 8:00 -10:00 AM
Location: 200 Park Avenue, 38th Floor, New York, NY 10166
Tropical forests are one of our most powerful climate solutions, capable of delivering up to 30% of the emissions reductions needed by 2030 - while sustaining biodiversity and supporting millions of people. Yet they receive less than 3% of global climate finance.
Philanthropy can play a catalytic role, unlocking early action, advancing equity, and building the systems needed for lasting impact.
This closed-door roundtable will explore how philanthropic and early-stage finance can accelerate emissions reductions and sustainable development in forest regions. Drawing on proven models such as Jurisdictional REDD+/LEAF, Symbiosis, and the Tropical Forests Forever Fund (TFFF), this session will explore how these mechanisms are channeling resources to forest governments and communities to accelerate high-integrity forest protection.
With COP30 on the horizon, we will discuss how philanthropy can play a catalytic role in delivering large-scale impact for climate, nature, and people.
Attendance to this event is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending this event, please contact samantha@emergentclimate.com.
The Emergent team will be in New York during Climate Week NYC. If you’d like to meet up to talk about how we can work together to tackle deforestation, please get in touch below.
