The preservation of tropical forests is critical to stabilizing our climate, preserving biodiversity, and supporting sustainable development, especially for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs).
Investment in high-quality credits such as JREDD+ programs can help mobilize and scale sources of finance—especially corporate finance—that contribute to multiple sustainability goals. Not all carbon credits are created equal, so please join us to hear from IP&LCs, forest governments, corporate buyers, and credit developers to learn:
- What constitutes ‘high-integrity’ for carbon credits?
- How can investment in high-integrity approaches like JREDD+ contribute to climate, biodiversity, and social objectives?
- Explore some of the barriers and solutions for mobilizing corporate finance at scale.
