To Protect or Restore? The Big Forest Question

Organizer: NCSA

September 26 | 9:00 - 11:00 AM

Science tells us we cannot solve climate change or halt biodiversity loss without both protecting and restoring forests.

But with limited corporate budgets and uncertainty around carbon markets and claims, how can companies prioritize both forest protection and restoration in climate and nature strategies with investment in high integrity carbon reductions and removals?

For New York Climate Week, the Natural Climate Solutions Alliance has brought together the leaders of the Symbiosis Coalition and the LEAF Coalition, two advance market commitment initiatives scaling funding for forests, for an interactive discussion with voices from the private sector and global south on the opportunities and challenges facing corporate buyers at this critical time for our planet.
